The Gastrointestinal tract breaks down the ingested food into buvable forms of nutrients and absorbs nutrients, ions and normal water from the external environment from the body. It truly is designed to increase digestion and absorption. The functional set ups of the digestive system are the verse, the glands like salivary glands, gastric glands, pancreatic, intestinal glands and liver organ. Also, the four levels of the digestive system are mucosa, submucosa, muscularis and serosa. The digestive tract is controlled both by the Autonomic program and the Enteric nervous system. The major features of the Digestive system are; passageway and breakdown of foodstuff, destruction of ingested bacterias, viruses and toxins, Compression of nutrition, Elimination of unwanted undigestible substances. In this lab, the enzymes that play a major role in digestion just like amylase are going to be studied within the various circumstances and track of each of the conditions are taken up study the effect on the digestive enzymes.
As stated before, the purpose of this lab was going to study the role that enzymes play in the digestive tract. Inside the first section of the lab, all of us prepared a salivary amylase solution and aggregated acetic acid to find the presence of mucin. A similar procedure was repeated with pepsin, with the evaluation tubes ready as follows: Tube 1 sama dengan 5 milliliters pepsin 5% soln & 5 ml HCL (0. 5)%; Conduit 2 sama dengan 5 ml pepsin (5% soln)+ drinking water 5 milliliters; Tube three or more = five ml HCL (0. 5%) + 5 ml of water; Pipe 4 sama dengan 5 milliliters pepsin five per cent soln) & 5 milliliters NAOH (0. 5%). Lastly, the above process was repeated with trypsin.
